Pericles is the AI assistant built into Powerlily. It can answer questions about your business, look up specific quotes, leads, and customers, point you to help articles, and even draft an email or set up a task for you to approve. Pericles is a Pro feature.
Who can use Pericles
Because Pericles can see across all of your company's quotes, leads, and customers, access is limited to staff who are already trusted with that company-wide view: admins and team members (and Powerlily staff). It is not available to agents, whose visibility is deliberately scoped to their own deals, to installers, who cannot see pricing, or to clients in the portal. This keeps the assistant from becoming a way around those visibility rules. See the related article on team roles for the full picture.
Pericles only ever sees your own company's data. It cannot reach another company's records, no matter how it is asked.
Two ways to use Pericles
The chat assistant. Open Pericles and ask it questions in plain language. It keeps a history of your conversations so you can pick up where you left off. Replies stream in as it works, and when it looks something up it links straight to the record so you can click through.
Mentioning Pericles in a comment. On a quote's comment thread, type @ and choose Pericles to mention it as @[Pericles]. It reads the context of that quote and replies right in the thread, and it can suggest actions inline for you to approve. This works on quotes for staff only; a customer in the portal cannot mention Pericles to pull out company data.
What Pericles can do
Pericles has a set of tools it uses to help you:
- Find and count quotes and projects by customer name, address, email, or status, and pull the full details of any one of them.
- Find leads and customers and show their details.
- Give a company overview, such as how many quotes are at each stage and how many leads are open.
- Search the help centre and cite the relevant article when you ask how to do something in the app.
It can also propose actions that you approve before anything happens. Nothing is done automatically. The actions it can propose are:
- Create a task, optionally tied to a quote, with a due date and priority.
- Move a quote to a different pipeline stage.
- Draft an email to a quote's customer, which you review and send. The recipient is always the customer on that quote, never an address the assistant invents.
When Pericles proposes one of these, you get an approval card. Approve it to carry it out, or dismiss it.
Beyond the assistant
Pericles also powers the other AI features in Powerlily, all of which are Pro: the spec sheet extractors that read a datasheet and fill in a panel, inverter, or battery for you, and the writing help that drafts proposal document sections and knowledge base posts. Wherever you see AI assistance in Powerlily, that is Pericles, and it requires a Pro plan.
