Powerlily Inc. ("Powerlily," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This Privacy Policy applies to our website at powerlily.io, the Powerlily web application and client portals, and the Powerlily mobile app for iOS and Android (together, our "services"). It outlines the types of personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, the choices available to users regarding their information, and our practices regarding the protection and disclosure of your information.
Powerlily is business software for solar installation companies. Solar companies use it to design systems, prepare quotes, manage customers and leads, send emails and text messages to their customers, share client portals with homeowners, send invoices, run door-to-door canvassing, and complete site safety forms. Our customers are solar companies. If you are a homeowner, your installer uses Powerlily to manage your project and may give you access to a client portal.
When you sign up for Powerlily or are invited by your company or installer, we may collect personal information such as:
Our services are designed for solar companies to manage their customers and projects. As part of this service, we process and store information provided by solar companies and their team members, including:
The solar company decides what customer information it enters into Powerlily and how it is used, and we process that information on the solar company's behalf to provide our services. If you are a homeowner with questions about your information, you can contact your installer or contact us at support@powerlily.io.
We may collect information about how you interact with our website and services, including:
If you use the Powerlily mobile app, we also collect the information described in Section 5, such as photos you take or choose, your location while you are using location features, voice recordings you make to dictate messages, and a push notification token for your device. The app only accesses your camera, photos, location, and microphone after you grant permission.
If you use Pericles, our AI assistant, we collect the messages, design requests, and attachments you send to it and the responses it generates. Section 4 explains how this information is processed.
We use the information collected to:
We may use your contact information to:
We may use aggregated and anonymized data for analytics purposes to:
Our website uses Google Analytics. We also use server monitoring to detect errors and keep our services running reliably. The Powerlily mobile app does not include any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting tools.
We share personal information with the following third-party service providers, only as needed for them to provide their service to us:
These service providers are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential, use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them, and protect it with the same or equal protection described in this Privacy Policy.
Information in a solar company's account is available to that company's team members based on the roles and permissions the company sets. Homeowners see the information their installer shares with them in their client portal.
We do not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
We may disclose information when:
Powerlily includes an optional AI assistant called Pericles. When you use Pericles and related AI features:
These providers process this data only to provide the requested feature.
The Powerlily iOS app asks for your explicit permission before you use Pericles for the first time. Pericles is optional, and you can stop using it at any time.
The mobile app asks for your permission before using the features below. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings. If you turn one off, only the related feature stops working.
The mobile app does not track you, show advertising, sell your data, or include third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools. It does not offer in-app purchases.
You can delete your account directly in the app by going to Profile → Account settings → Delete my account. See Section 7 for what happens when you delete your account.
You may opt-out of receiving promotional communications from us by:
Solar companies may send text messages to their customers through Powerlily. We record consent and opt-out status for each company and phone number. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving text messages from that company.
You have the right to:
Contact us at support@powerlily.io for assistance.
You can delete your own account at any time:
Deleting your account removes your user profile and signs you out immediately, and you will not be able to log in again. Comments you posted remain visible to your team as coming from a "Deleted User." Projects and other business records belong to your company and remain available to your team. If you use a client portal, your portal access and profile are removed, but project records already shared with your solar company may remain in their records.
If you are the only remaining user in your company's account, contact support@powerlily.io and we will remove your account and company data. Company administrators can also remove users from their team.
You can also ask us to delete your personal information, including information a solar company has stored about you, by emailing support@powerlily.io or using our contact form. If you are a homeowner, we may work with your solar company to complete your request. We may keep some information where we are required to by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete your user profile as described in Section 7.
If you are accessing our services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
