Secure signing and editable live electrical networks

Proposal acceptance is now a complete, traceable signing workflow. Customers can sign through private expiring links, teams can collect countersignatures, and completed proposals are preserved with sealed PDFs, certificates, and signature evidence.

Electrical design has taken a major step forward. Designers can build and rewire downstream networks directly in the SLD, configure complex storage and grid-isolation arrangements, edit circuit wiring, and validate the actual equipment and connections shown in the drawing. Pericles can work alongside both SLD and Permit Set designs with the same electrical context.

Document and business workflows also received substantial upgrades. Pericles can edit Custom Documents and invoice templates directly, lead records now combine details and follow-up work, and new catalogue tools support grid-isolation devices, racking kits, stronger filtering, and more accurate specification extraction.

  • Secure proposal signing Customers can receive a private, expiring signing link by email or text, open the exact pending proposal revision, provide a drawn signature, and explicitly consent to electronic records. Teams can resend links, while expired and completed links are rejected.
  • Countersignatures and sealed completion records Companies can assign or reassign a teammate to countersign accepted proposals. Once all required signatures are complete, Powerlily preserves the signed revision, creates a sealed PDF and acceptance certificate, emails the completed documents, and retains detailed signature evidence.
  • Unified signature tracking A single Signatures panel now shows proposal acceptance and Custom Document envelopes together, with clearer status and controls for outstanding steps. Designed-proposal envelopes can also identify when commercial content changed after sending.
  • Pericles edits Custom Documents directly Pericles can inspect the live canvas and make undoable changes, including inserting, rewriting, styling, moving, or removing content, adding pages and breaks, and previewing with quote data. It uses supported variables, conditions, and brand tokens from the editor.
  • Pericles in invoice templates Company settings managers can use the same live-canvas assistance while editing invoice templates, including changes to selected text, layout, and styling.
  • Custom Document recovery Autosaves and manual saves now retain up to 25 meaningful revisions per template. Designers can recover from unwanted edits or save conflicts without losing prior work.
  • Conditional Custom Document sections Sections can appear only when a quote contains relevant items or data, including batteries, grid-isolation devices, optimizers, incentives, adders, financing, down payments, terms, multiple arrays, or utility comparisons.
  • More capable Custom Document workspace Expanded canvas controls, block and inspector panels, resizable panes, page-oriented editing, and live placeholder previews make complex branded documents easier to build and review.
  • Expanded document variables Custom Documents and automations now include grid-isolation images, tables, and detailed electrical fields. Designed PDFs can also insert the terms selected for a specific quote, with quote variables resolved.
  • More faithful document output Custom Documents and PDFs now load selected company typefaces and related assets more reliably. Shared document views also adapt print-shaped layouts for narrower screens.
  • Lead details and follow-up in one workspace Teams can edit contact and qualification details, then move among Comments, Follow-up, Files, History, and Ownership without leaving the lead. Tasks, appointments, attachments, notes, stage history, quote context, and assignment controls remain together.
  • Internal lead discussions Lead records support threaded replies, likes, mentions, attachments, and colleague notifications. After a quote is created, earlier lead discussion remains available as history while new project updates are directed to quote comments.
  • More complete lead mentions The mention picker now includes all eligible teammates with access, including the comment author and same-company administrators, while continuing to exclude clients, bots, deactivated users, and unauthorized teammates.
  • Route lead alerts to the right people Managers can set up to 20 company-wide lead-notification recipients and override them for individual forms. Addresses are validated, normalized, and deduplicated, and each form summarizes who will receive its enquiries.
  • Clearer lead and referral emails Team alerts now use a calmer, consistent layout with the lead name as the main heading, clearer context, and a prominent action to open the opportunity.
  • More reliable embedded lead forms Lead settings provide canonical embed addresses and a dedicated sharing workflow. Embedded forms resize more reliably and notify the host page when submission is complete.
  • Stronger lead-form handling Hosted and embedded forms add spam protection, normalize phone numbers more reliably, and remain available during temporary address-lookup failures. Precisely mapped rural and county-based properties are also accepted when they lack a conventional city or street number.
  • Cleaner lead-form settings The settings workspace makes previewing easier and uses more of the available width. Custom-field type controls also stay compact so field labels remain visible.
  • Grid-isolation devices as first-class equipment Companies can manage MIDs such as backup controllers and meter collars with topology, port, current, phase, and protection specifications. They can be searched, quoted, priced, shown as full proposal equipment, and used by electrical designs.
  • Integrated MIDs for storage equipment Catalogue managers can record, import, review, edit, and remove integrated grid-isolation details for AC-coupled batteries and hybrid inverters. Batteries without an integrated MID remain eligible for design use.
  • Better MID specification extraction Datasheet extraction recognizes integrated battery and inverter MIDs, common current and voltage formats, phase labels, topology names, terminals, bypass ratings, and protection details. It also distinguishes physical feeder connections from bypass breakers to avoid duplicate or incorrect topology.
  • Practical MID catalogue readiness MID terminal records can retain documented connections even when some ratings are omitted. Devices are no longer excluded solely because a separate continuous-current rating is unavailable, while known electrical fields continue to be checked.
  • Inverter capabilities visible in listings Catalogue rows identify string, hybrid, and microinverter products and can show supported panel counts, built-in usable storage, and integrated MIDs. Capability chips now wrap without hiding row actions.
  • More accurate inverter catalogue data Datasheet extraction records per-tracker DC power only when explicitly published, retains independently documented battery-voltage bounds, and captures grid-side AC charging limits. Hybrid readiness now accepts supported products when rarely published charging or voltage fields are unavailable.
  • Faster inverter specification entry Autosaving inverter fields no longer refresh the entire form and steal keyboard focus, making rapid tab-based entry across electrical and storage specifications reliable.
  • Correct panel temperature coefficients Panel imports now preserve voltage and power temperature coefficients in the expected percent-per-degree format, including negative signs.
  • Faster datasheet reading Equipment extraction and Pericles attachments use embedded document text when available, preserve page and column context, and render only pages that need image recognition. Repeated uploads can reuse prior extraction results.
  • Pericles prepares catalogue drafts Catalogue administrators can ask Pericles to stage structured MID records and complete racking kits for review. Approving a racking kit creates its system, parts, and component relationships together.
  • Reusable, automatically priced racking kits Managers can group rails, splices, attachments, clamps, and other priced equipment into named systems. Designers can select a system by roof facet and send its component takeoff into quote pricing automatically.
  • Expanded racking management Racking records now cover mounting and attachment types, rail dimensions, spacing and cantilever limits, clamps, module gaps, tilt, flashing, fasteners, ballast, and railless configurations. Individual fields save as they are changed.
  • Racking readiness guidance Managers can define kit components and see warnings when required roles or specifications are missing. Universal clamps are now recognized correctly, avoiding false missing-component warnings.
  • Racking catalogue improvements Racking uses the standard searchable, filterable, sortable, and paginated catalogue experience. Detail pages are more consistent, an on-page explainer is available, public listings hide management controls, and component-priced kits no longer show an invalid standalone price.
  • Ballast quantities throughout the workflow Designers can record block weight and average blocks per module. Total block count and weight are retained for Permit Sets, document templates, pricing, and field views, and equipment can be priced per ballast block.
  • More powerful catalogue filtering Product lists now offer category-specific filters and consistent sorting across panels, inverters, batteries, optimizers, MIDs, equipment, and racking. Brand selectors are searchable and clearable, and filter labels remain accurate after clearing or browser navigation.
  • Improved catalogue management Company administrators get clearer category navigation, availability controls, status indicators, and shared filtering tools. Product forms use consistent availability and quote-inclusion switches, and unavailable products are excluded from new selections without disrupting existing quote lines.
  • Custom public catalogue wording Administrators can set the eyebrow, heading, and description for each published product category while retaining sensible defaults.
  • Faster catalogue browsing Product cards and rows preload listing details, descriptions, logos, and display images, with loading placeholders that reduce layout movement. Long names and searchable selectors no longer create horizontal scrolling.
  • Accurate catalogue visibility Turning off catalogue publication removes its customer navigation link. Customer-facing racking listings also show appropriate empty states and deny access to management forms.
  • Better catalogue import review Low-confidence and flagged fields retain readable highlighting, including in dark themes, so specifications needing verification are easier to spot.
  • Bulk client and monitoring-system linking Teams can connect clients to imported systems through client imports or a dedicated pairing file. Existing clients can be linked, unmatched or ambiguous rows are reported rather than guessed, and repeated uploads do not create duplicate links.
  • Improved monitoring connections and imports Current fleet credentials and existing legacy keys are supported together. Managers can verify stored credentials, search sites by name, import normalized site details, and view equipment consistently across old and new connection methods.
  • More reliable fleet synchronization Monitoring history now refreshes incrementally, reuses fleet information, respects provider limits, and records more specific failures such as rejected credentials, exhausted allowances, or missing sites. Imported systems also retain their monitoring-site names.
  • Clearer connection troubleshooting Authorization messages distinguish incomplete credentials, rejected logins, unavailable services, and incompatible account plans. Extra whitespace in pasted credentials is removed automatically.
  • Accurate quote analytics Reports now calculate from visible primary quotes without counting proposal options, other companies, or duplicate array records. Revenue, close rates, opens, time to sign, capacity, system size, project status, location, value bands, and teammate performance use a consistent creation-date cohort.
  • Streamlined analytics reporting The responsive report defaults to month to date and adds presets, custom ranges, teammate filters, prior-period comparisons, sortable performance, distribution summaries, and a clearer empty state. Active filters carry into direct CSV and PDF downloads.
  • Classic proposal PDF overhaul Downloaded, emailed, attached, and signing-copy PDFs now share a polished branded layout with theme colors and fonts, crisp charts, improved images, accessible contrast, and better page-flow protection.
  • Richer Classic PDF content Introductions, disclaimers, and terms retain headings, nested lists, quotes, rules, tables, attachments, links, and text styling. Long content paginates more cleanly and accented characters use the selected proposal fonts.
  • Consistent proposal financials Live proposals, Classic PDFs, designed proposals, attachments, and signing copies now use the same 30-year projection. Utility changes, battery value, demand-charge reduction, financing, savings, payback, return, interest, and payments remain aligned.
  • Grid-isolation equipment in proposals MIDs appear in the proposal equipment section even when no other equipment is present, with product details and attached specification sheets available to viewers.
  • Selective customer-detail syncing For proposals with multiple options, teams can choose field by field whether updated customer details should flow to the other options. Contact details are preselected, while addresses remain option-specific unless chosen.
  • Correct option-specific proposal details Option lists identify projects at different addresses, and each proposal header now shows that option's own project name, address, email, and phone.
  • Choose MIDs when duplicating options The option-duplication workflow can replace and price grid-isolation devices alongside batteries and other equipment instead of silently carrying over the source option.
  • Reliable quote creation New quotes are created together with utility rates, custom periods, financing, included equipment, proposal content, workflow stage, and lead conversion. If required setup fails, the operation leaves no partial quote or incomplete conversion.
  • Utility-rate recovery and safer changes Quotes missing saved utility rates now provide a guided recovery screen. Replacing a utility updates the complete rate snapshot and billing totals together, while invalid replacement data leaves the prior rates and totals intact.
  • Quote-specific utility overrides stay cleared Removing the final usage tier now keeps the quote on its entered flat rate instead of restoring default tiers. Monthly overrides remain independent, and an explicit reset still restores defaults.
  • Utility-rate safeguards Newly created rate plans reject overlapping periods before saving. Pericles can also research an existing plan and present a reviewable correction that will not overwrite newer manual edits.
  • Redesigned quote setup steps Property location now has a clearer full-page step with explicit navigation. Imagery selection uses a larger responsive workspace, keeps key actions accessible, and correctly clears a saved pre-solar utility when that option is turned off.
  • Better automatic roof detection preparation Roof inference now combines aerial imagery with lidar hints and more deliberately accepts, rejects, or adjusts candidate crease lines. The Design Assistant clearly indicates when lidar is required.
  • Clearer quote and proposal controls Long equipment names stay within the hardware picker, quote pricing tables retain their container styling after refreshes, and the appearance picker is scrollable with clearer destinations for proposal, personal, or company themes.
  • Run multiple Pericles chats Pericles can continue working in one conversation while users open another. Running and unseen completed work remains visible across navigation, and catalogue requests use item-specific conversations to avoid duplicate work.
  • Visible Pericles progress Plain-language activity entries show when Pericles is researching equipment, reading datasheets, checking company information, or preparing catalogue changes. Running, completed, failed, and interrupted states survive reconnection and remain in saved conversations.
  • Richer electrical assistance Pericles can process much larger design briefs and understands circuit runs, route sections, inherited defaults, conductor modes, jurisdiction profiles, presets, raceway membership, storage topology, MIDs, findings, and Permit Set setup.
  • Pericles controls live drawings more precisely The assistant has clearer supported operations for labels, styles, placement, suppression, equipment, ratings, connections, routing, and wire terminations. Unsupported parameters are rejected more clearly.

  • Safer theme editing Draft work is separated from applying a company-wide appearance, stale saves are prevented from replacing newer revisions, and recovery workflows make experimentation safer. Theme validation errors remain readable and successful creations open directly in the editor.
  • Pericles-generated themes Eligible companies can provide a website for Pericles to analyze in the background. Theme Studio tracks progress and opens the completed, editable theme when ready.
  • Stable personal themes A teammate's selected personal appearance keeps its own snapshot when managers later change the company palette. Theme selectors now use searchable visual previews and friendly preset names.
  • Theme and preview fixes Shadow color changes retain opacity, invalid negative blur and corner values are rejected, and mobile navigation works reliably inside proposal previews. Client-view previews now use company branding rather than the teammate's personal theme.
  • Cleaner operational screens The project Installation tab now groups visit count and schedule access, dashboard map tabs wrap more cleanly, account save messages align correctly, and long selector values stay inside their containers.
  • Clearer proposal energy credits Energy tables now use “Credit balance” and “Balance value,” with English and French explanations of how credits carry forward and are valued.
  • Reliable public terms pages Signed-out customer-portal visitors can open company-branded text-message terms and privacy pages without a rendering failure.
  • Protected sign-ins Browser and mobile sign-ins are now correctly throttled by normalized email and network address to reduce repeated password guessing.
  • Reliable large drone-video processing Multi-gigabyte flight videos can provide their small GPS sidecar data without repeatedly filling temporary storage. Temporary storage and network problems are retried instead of being misreported as missing GPS.
  • More reliable navigation Page changes continue cleanly when a browser skips an animation while a tab is hidden.
  • Correct regional SMS upgrade pricing If an account currency is unavailable, upgrade pricing now falls back to the company's business country rather than failing or choosing the wrong regional offer.
  • Time-aware branded sign-in The returning-user sign-in scene adjusts its morning, afternoon, or night lighting to the subscribing company's local time, including daylight-saving changes and custom domains.

3D design tool

  • Build and rewire live electrical networks Designers can add, remove, restore, connect, and disconnect downstream equipment directly in the SLD. These connections are treated as the real electrical network, persist with the design, and survive diagram regeneration.
  • Connect equipment from the canvas Directional controls guide designers through connecting existing devices or adding new downstream equipment. Compatibility is checked before a connection is applied.
  • Expanded downstream equipment palette Designers can add AC breakers, fused or unfused disconnects, panelboards, AC combiners, DC disconnects, meters, and transformers with relevant trip, pole, voltage, fuse, and bus ratings.
  • Validation follows the edited network Checks now evaluate the equipment and connections actually present, including missing sources, incomplete connections, rating and voltage mismatches, protection, busbars, conductors, and unsupported topology. Incomplete networks are clearly marked and are not treated as document-ready.
  • Editable circuit wiring Designers can inspect and override wiring for one or several circuit runs using equipment-aware profiles and validation. Changes stay coordinated with schedules, callouts, generated diagrams, electrical checks, and Pericles.
  • Integrated grid-isolation choices Storage designs can use one selected isolation device: a separate MID, a hybrid inverter's integrated relay, or an eligible AC battery's integrated relay. Conflicting, duplicated, or unavailable choices are flagged.
  • Complex source-combiner workflow A structured editor supports bus arrangements, PV and feeder breakers, run length, equipment limits, shutdown, current controls, disconnect requirements, fault current, and supported ratings. Designers can preview calculations and issues before applying changes.
  • Split-bus PV and storage combiners Designs can model separate PV and distributed-energy buses, aggregate PV protection, bidirectional feeders, disconnect positions, shutdown controls, current limits, permitted breakers, conductor minimums, and installation-specific ratings.
  • Editable breaker ratings Designers can override calculated branch, feeder, service, and storage breaker sizes while keeping the automatic value as a reference. Conductors are recalculated to coordinate with the selected protection, and invalid selections become findings.
  • Existing-feeder interconnections Load-side connections can be made to an existing feeder with its conductor ampacity, protective-device rating, and intervening loads recorded. Required feeder ampacity is calculated, and unsafe or incomplete designs receive specific guidance.
  • Three-phase microinverter trunks On three-phase services, designers can choose separate phase-pair branches or a listed three-phase trunk on a three-pole breaker. Calculations use balanced line current and warn when units cannot be distributed evenly.
  • Transformer-aware multiphase designs SLD calculations and microinverter branching account for transformers and the actual voltage and phase where equipment operates. This supports transformer-fed inverter combinations that would otherwise appear incompatible.
  • Commercial high-voltage arrays Commercial systems above 1,000 V are supported as a dedicated regime with appropriately listed conductors, jurisdiction guidance, and explanatory notes. Canadian high-voltage guidance now begins above 750 V.
  • Stronger storage validation Checks cover battery-to-inverter voltage compatibility, charge and discharge current, MID service and continuous-current limits, fault current, short-circuit ratings, protection, poles, backup capability, service suitability, and relevant certifications.
  • Bidirectional storage sizing Hybrid feeders and shared combiners are sized for the larger charging or generation direction, using published AC charging limits where available. If a separate charging rating is unpublished, rated continuous output can be used with a verification warning instead of blocking the design.
  • Equipment-specific conductor and raceway sizing Sizing now accounts for 75°C and 90°C ratings, ambient correction at the selected conductor temperature, custom conductor areas, termination limits, and circuit-specific requirements.
  • More accurate interconnection checks Busbar, power-control, opposite-end, and sum-of-breakers rules now use the correct continuous-current or breaker quantities for each method. Centre-fed panels, supply-side taps, meter collars, and authored distribution panels receive the appropriate treatment.
  • Path-by-path validation Ordinary edits can validate even when another path contains unsupported advanced equipment. Findings identify only the affected conductor or device, including edited MID, source-combiner, transformer, and three-phase paths.
  • Accurate edited DC routes Authored equipment placed in a PV string route is checked against cold open-circuit voltage and required current.
  • Sharper Permit Set exports Permit Set pages are drawn directly from the design model, preserving edited labels and callouts while producing smaller PDFs with clean scaling and searchable text.
  • Accurate SLD exports SLD PDFs use model-based vector geometry and real text, preserving equipment names, sublabels, symbols, hand edits, routing, wrapping, and conductor schedules independently of canvas zoom.
  • Correct exported geometry Rotated symbols and text, roof facets, module patterns, north arrows, pitch lines, leaders, and unattached wire endpoints retain their intended orientation and shape.
  • Reliable notes, schedules, and placards Notes, tables, conductor schedules, and placards print as properly positioned drawing content with improved widths, measurements, headings, and lettering. Unsupported symbols are converted to readable equivalents rather than blocking export or producing garbled text.
  • Consistent SLD pages and title blocks Permit Set SLD pages use the current diagram model even if the SLD workspace was not opened. Title blocks share one source between editor and export, prioritize explicit Permit Set values, and fit long addresses and other facts within the frame.
  • Pericles reviews the exported drawing In Electrical and Permit Set workspaces, Pericles receives a model-based rendering that more closely matches the exported document, including title blocks, labels, callouts, roof geometry, and SLD content.
  • Pericles understands the live network The assistant can inspect connected sources, changed connections, removed equipment, findings, source-combiner settings, MID options, and wiring. Result cards now explain proposed and completed changes in plain language.
  • Pericles beside SLD and Permit Set work Designers can consult the assistant while reviewing electrical findings and documentation without leaving those workspaces. Long commands and status cards now wrap cleanly inside the panel.
  • Catalogue-driven racking and takeoffs Compatible racking systems can be assigned to roof facets, ground mounts, trackers, and canopies. Selected systems populate Permit Set and bill-of-material details, including rails, attachments, fasteners, flashing, spacing, and mounting type.
  • Ballasted roof support Flat-roof arrays can calculate whole-block quantities and total ballast weight for material and Permit Set calculations. Racking is added automatically only when the company has explicitly selected a default system for that mount type.
  • Improved automatic roof detection Aerial imagery and lidar-derived planes are combined to create editable roof perimeters, ridges, valleys, and facets with measured heights and pitches. The process preserves the perimeter, repairs small connection gaps, and can fall back to a single facet if final partitioning fails.
  • More reliable lidar alignment Detection better selects the subject building, accepts manually positioned lidar, and gives direct instructions when alignment still needs adjustment. Missing terrain coverage is treated as unavailable rather than as an error.
  • Smarter microinverter layouts Automatic branching can fill compatible branches across arrays while retaining separate array trunks. Grouping and cable routing better follow rows, slopes, and diagonal layouts, and designers can cycle through nearby valid groupings before placement.
  • Clearer SLD settings Search opens matching sections and hides unrelated rows. Collapsed sections summarize code, service, interconnection, storage, and structures, while equipment-location fields are generated for the equipment actually used.
  • Contextual field explanations Help beside electrical, battery, generation-service, and Permit Set settings explains unfamiliar inputs and distinguishes calculated guidance from information that must be confirmed. Amber styling is reserved for genuine missing or problematic data.
  • Consolidated compliance findings Repeated instances of the same issue are grouped into one finding with an affected-location count and controls to select the related drawing elements. Device warnings are no longer repeated beneath every connected breaker.
  • Clearer MID conflict guidance Backup conflicts with supply-side taps, meter collars, or subpanel connections now direct designers to the correct interconnection control and required load-side arrangement.
  • Cleaner complex SLD routing Improved orthogonal routing keeps storage and MID equipment grouped appropriately and reduces overlapping connections in complex hybrid diagrams.
  • Safer electrical editing Copying or cloning electrical symbols is blocked because generic clipboard actions cannot preserve IDs, ratings, and connections. Source equipment continues to come from the underlying design, while ordinary annotations remain copyable.
  • Synchronized electrical labels and saved data Generated rating labels refresh from current electrical values instead of retaining stale overrides. MID fault-current evidence is saved with the design, and reopened string-inverter designs reconnect panel assignments before recalculating capacity.
  • Improved obstruction controls The panel clearly distinguishes settings for the next obstruction from the selected obstruction. Shared dimension handling keeps previews and edits synchronized across vents, chimneys, skylights, HVAC equipment, and other roof objects.
  • Better canvas interaction Right-drag pans from anywhere on SLD and Permit Set sheets without moving objects. Wheel and trackpad gestures use deliberate steps, live style controls preview changes smoothly, and map loading no longer delays unrelated startup work.
  • More reliable rendering and terrain loading The canvas avoids several first-use stalls and rendering failures across browsers and fractional display scales. Each hosted design uses its own terrain data and falls back quietly when a preferred source is unavailable.
