Inline quote editing and mobile customer management

Teams can now update quotes without breaking their flow. Edit quote details directly in workflow spreadsheets, or open the new quote drawer from workflows, client activity, tasks, events, and quote lists to manage details, documents, tags, and comments.

Customer management is also expanding significantly in the Powerlily mobile app. Staff will be able to create and update client records, manage files and texting consent, send review requests, and follow customer activity. Portal clients will get mobile access to project progress, proposals, invoices, and documents.

Designers gain more capable permit and electrical workflows, including mixed mounting systems by roof surface, nested roof facets, cleaner searchable exports, and validation for more advanced electrical configurations.

Powerlily

  • Edit quotes without leaving your workspace. Open a quote in a side drawer from workflow boards, quote lists, client activity, recent quotes, tasks, and events. Edit details, pipeline stage, documents, tags, and comments while retaining filters, selected records, and scroll position.
  • Inline editing in workflow spreadsheets. Authorized users can edit quote names, addresses, contact details, and project dates directly in the spreadsheet. Validation, undo support, and conflict detection help prevent invalid entries or accidental overwrites.
  • More capable workflow spreadsheets. Search by contact or project details, filter by stage or project status, collapse stage sections, and review per-stage counts. Quotes moved out of a stage reliably appear in the permanent Unassigned section.
  • Expanded spreadsheet columns and delivery preset. Add and sort by owner, project status, address, email, phone, start date, due date, and completion date. The Project Delivery preset quickly selects fields used to track installation progress.
  • Flexible quote adders and discounts. Establish a BOM, price-per-watt, or manually overridden base price, then apply quantity, fixed, or per-watt adders and fixed or per-watt discounts separately.
  • Faster, clearer pricing edits. Base prices and adjustments autosave, with summaries separating base price, adders, discounts, net adjustments, adjusted price, and effective price per watt. Adjustment display controls appear only when the quote actually has adders or discounts.
  • Consistent and safer adjusted totals. Proposals, invoices, PDFs, mobile views, and connected systems now use the same adjusted totals. Overlapping edits are protected from producing partial changes, while signed and historical quotes retain their established pricing behavior.
  • Pericles can edit visual templates. Ask Pericles to build or revise Custom Documents, invoice templates, and landing pages directly on the canvas. It can edit content and styling, move or remove components, and work with the current selection while keeping changes undoable.
  • Recoverable Custom Document history. Recent autosave and manual-save snapshots let template authors recover from unwanted edits, reloads, or concurrent editing conflicts.
  • Conditional Custom Document sections. Sections can appear only when relevant quote details are present, including batteries, optimizers, grid-isolation devices, incentives, financing, terms, multiple arrays, or utility-bill comparisons.
  • Improved Custom Document workspace. A roomier, resizable editor adds stronger block and inspector panels, page-oriented editing, live placeholder previews, and integrated help. Company fonts and assets also render more reliably in shared views and generated documents.
  • Saved list filters and views. Powerlily remembers each team member’s filters, sorting, and layout choices across supported quote, lead, client, invoice, schedule, document, workflow, notification, knowledge, and equipment pages. Active filters appear as removable chips.
  • More reliable catalog and view preferences. Remembered catalog searches, brands, categories, tabs, and sorting apply on the initial page load. Closely timed preference changes are also less likely to overwrite one another.
  • Redesigned quote analytics. Review quote performance with date and teammate filters, period comparisons, summary metrics, team results, value and status distributions, and location breakdowns. Current filtered reports can be downloaded as CSV or PDF.
  • More accurate quote metrics. Analytics avoid counting proposal options or multiplying revenue across arrays. Signed revenue, close rate, engagement, time to sign, capacity, system size, panel counts, and period comparisons now use a consistent quote cohort.
  • More actionable workflow analytics. Stage reports show workload, value, panel totals, time in stage, stale quotes, arrivals, departures, cycle time, destinations, equipment, trends, and observations over selectable periods. Sorting is consistent across loading, filtering, and pagination, including time-in-stage sorting.
  • Upgraded workflow List views. Search, stage and project-status filters, sorting, pagination, and row or card layouts work together. Preferences are remembered separately for each workflow, and active filters remain available when no quotes match.
  • Edit clients in place. Authorized team members can update a client’s name, email, phone, and address from a modal on the client workspace. Existing quotes and systems remain linked unless explicitly changed from their dedicated tabs.
  • Clearer client list selection. Responsive client rows support touch, keyboard, and shift-range selection. Selection resets safely after filtering, pagination, or page restoration, reducing accidental bulk invitations or deletions.
  • Clearer customer portal dashboard. The web portal now presents progress, systems, proposals, invoices, and documents in dedicated responsive cards that are easier for customers to scan.
  • Unified staff message links. Existing client message links take staff directly to the customer’s thread in the unified inbox, while portal customers keep their dedicated messaging page.
  • More usable conversation filters. Inbox filters wrap instead of clipping, hide empty categories until needed, show unread conversation counts, and appear when new conversations arrive. Keyboard and screen-reader feedback has also improved.
  • Faster notification inbox. Filter notifications by all, unread, or read, review paginated results and counts, and keep rows, tabs, and inbox badges synchronized after reading, deleting, or clearing notifications. The layout also has clearer icons, unread accents, and an all-caught-up state.
  • Add missing products through the Powerlily Library. Eligible catalog managers can attach or drop a specification sheet into the Library drawer. Pericles stages published variants for review before adding them to the company catalog.
  • Pericles-assisted product forms. For one-off products, Pericles can propose values from a specification sheet and fill the open form without saving it. Suggested fields remain reviewable, and drafts created during assistant requests include links for continued review.
  • More usable product library. Shorter category tabs include product counts and accessible full labels, while an expandable drawer gives clearer guidance for reviewing specifications and adding products.
  • Faster catalog imagery. Catalog and library pages use appropriately sized, reusable preview images, reducing delays caused by oversized uploads. Sample catalogs also include product photography before the data-sheet cover.
  • More resilient catalog browsing. Invalid page values return users to the first catalog page instead of failing. Racking systems can also be included in customer-facing catalogs and given an optional public price without breaking results.
  • Edit workflow details in place. Managers can update routine workflow settings from the workspace header, with validation shown without leaving the page.
  • Autosaving workflow appearance. Change a workflow’s icon, color, board pattern, or custom header image from the header. Changes preview immediately and save with clear status feedback.
  • Workflow branch access from the header. Authorized managers can assign a workflow to a specific branch or all branches without opening a separate settings page.
  • Consolidated workflow people controls. Assigned teammates and watchers appear together in the header. Watching changes refresh visible avatars and watcher details immediately.
  • More accurate theme controls. The theme picker correctly identifies the active company, personal, or quote palette. Client invitation dialogs and pagination controls also follow the company theme more consistently.
  • Plan-set settings point to missing details. Each section can show a Needs action that opens and highlights the relevant missing field, making permit-package completion more direct.
  • Racking selections by roof surface. Plan-set settings display the library racking kit selected for each surface and identify surfaces using the default manual mounting convention.
  • Component-based production losses. Designers can calculate total DC system loss from mismatch, wiring, connections, degradation, nameplate, age, and availability instead of entering one manually combined value.
  • Maximum roof slopes for racking kits. Catalog managers can record and autosave a flat-roof kit’s permitted roof slope separately from module tilt, making the limit available during design.
  • Clearer plan-set sheet controls. Long sheet names and notes wrap cleanly, while single-line diagram options have clearer labels and descriptions.
  • Guided walkthrough progress. Guides show completion status, a progress bar, the full step outline, the current step, and what comes next. Longer guides are easier to minimize, search, pause, and resume.
  • Launch guides from a selected quote. Quote managers can search authorized quotes and start design or Proposal Presets walkthroughs at the requested or saved step.
  • Existing plan sets remain accessible. Companies on plans that cannot generate plan sets can still open an existing plan set attached to a quote. Generation and refresh controls remain limited to eligible plans.
  • Improved design saving. The main Save action uses a dedicated flow with generated previews, while Ctrl+S saves quietly. Discard and exit becomes available after the first saved design.
  • Complete company equipment in the designer. Configured defaults and equipment referenced by saved designs remain available even when prices or electrical specifications are incomplete.
  • More readable quote details. Quote URLs retain their intended theme contrast, while incentive values, tax indicators, and financing structures use compact wrapping chips.
  • Better proposal messages. Company messages appear in a full-width strip below navigation instead of overlapping controls. Recipients can dismiss a message until it is updated.
  • More reliable mobile proposals. Opening Array Info scrolls the revealed details into view, accessible chart tables fit phone screens, and section headings no longer lose their first letter.
  • Improved proposal presentation. Responsive system cards have been restored, posts without cover images stay compact, and battery backup duration appears in a clearer themed card.
  • Accurate proposal cover previews. Proposal customization shows the cover recipients will actually see and identifies whether it comes from the quote, company default, or built-in fallback.
  • Cleaner assistant-written proposal copy. Generated and revised section copy starts with body text and no longer duplicates the separately managed section title.
  • Document privacy updates in place. Admins can switch documents between private and client-visible states without reloading, and both staff and client-facing rows update immediately.
  • Expert design history is protected. Removing the source option after promoting an expert design no longer deletes its request, revisions, or credit history.
  • More accurate support handoffs. When users ask Pericles for a person, it reports whether a team alert was actually confirmed instead of promising an unverified notification or response time.
  • Reliable interrupted generation tasks. Theme and cover generation can recover after an interruption, while stalled theme setup provides a clear retry message. Interrupted Pericles requests fail clearly instead of replaying actions that may already have run.
  • Quote-specific utility tiers stay cleared. Removing the final tier or clearing an individual month no longer restores utility defaults unexpectedly. Users can still explicitly return to inherited tiers.
  • More dependable everyday navigation. Skipped visual transitions no longer produce an unhandled error, long dropdown values stay within their controls, and account-setting save messages align correctly.

3D design tool

  • Mixed mounting systems by surface. Designers can document different racking systems and roof assemblies on individual roof surfaces. Settings, mounting details, BOM calculations, readiness checks, and generated sheets use each surface’s actual configuration.
  • Nested roof facets. Create a facet entirely inside another roof face, such as a dormer, without triggering an overlap rejection. Nested facets remain selectable and receive clear hover and selection overlays.
  • More reliable connected roofs. Slope, height, geometry, wall, addition, and deletion changes solve connected roof planes together. Shared seams remain aligned, stale creases are cleared, and separate wall-delimited roof shells stay separate.
  • Smarter roof completion. Completion accepts valid contained or adjoining facets while rejecting crossed boundaries, self-intersections, partial overlaps, and invalid paths. Legitimate small facets are less likely to be rejected.
  • Improved automatic roof detection. Detect roof preserves the measured perimeter while closing small gaps, splitting crossings, merging near-matching endpoints, and clipping creases to concave outlines. It can request a targeted correction when geometry remains unresolved.
  • Better whole-roof fitting. Each facet contributes measured vertex heights and confidence to the shared DSM fit, producing a more coherent building model. Pitch controls also report when a requested angle must settle at a different fitted angle.
  • More accurate structural loads. Roof loads account for modules, rails, ballast, microinverters, and the configuration on each surface. Entered or reviewed system weight, dead load, point load, reviewer, and notes are preserved and printed reliably.
  • Low-slope racking limits. Ballasted and attached systems can be used on slightly pitched roofs when the selected kit supports that slope. Independent module tilt is allowed, and missing or out-of-range selections are flagged before export.
  • Additional low-slope roof finishes. Designs can represent EPDM, several TPO and PVC finishes, modified-bitumen cap sheets, and grey or tan gravel roofs.
  • Relevant plan-set settings only. The settings rail adapts to selected sheets, jurisdiction requirements, roof or ground surfaces, racking, and attachment types, reducing irrelevant fields.
  • Section-level plan-set guidance. Needs chips show missing-item counts and jump directly to the correct section, nested control, roof surface, and field. Search filters are cleared when needed, and the destination is highlighted.
  • Roof fields follow construction type. Surfacing, application, framing size, spacing, and span appear and become required only when applicable. Irrelevant saved details are omitted from printed plan sets.
  • Complete engineering-review checks. Multi-roof projects are considered reviewed only when every applicable roof has the required status.
  • Installation-specific racking schedules. Printed schedules can include rail models, embedment, fasteners, and flashing details while omitting fields that do not apply to standing-seam clamps or ballasted systems.
  • No carried-over structural defaults. New projects no longer inherit roof construction or design criteria from an earlier project in the same browser. Existing project settings remain intact.
  • Save and attach documents together. Save opens a completion dialog where designers can generate and attach ready plan sets, single-line diagrams, roof reports, shading reports, or racking BOMs. Preferences are remembered, and Ctrl+S remains a quick save.
  • Safer document export selection. Unavailable documents are disabled, excluded from counts, and not submitted. A failed supplemental PDF merge is identified instead of saving a partial plan set as successful.
  • More reliable plan-set synchronization. Generation waits for pages to finish reconciling before validation and export, reducing stale output and false synchronization errors.
  • Sharper, searchable permit sets. Permit pages are drawn from the editable sheet model rather than photographed from the canvas. Reviewer-edited labels and moved callouts remain intact, text is searchable, and file sizes are reduced.
  • More faithful exported drawings. Rotated symbols and text, roof outlines, module paths, line routing, roof pitches, leaders, and unfinished wires retain their intended geometry without crashes or unwanted stair-step paths.
  • Reliable exported text and images. Legacy formatted labels become readable plain text, unsupported characters receive safe equivalents, and invalid or unsupported logos no longer stop the entire export.
  • SLD annotations and notes are retained. Plan-set annotations are layered over the current single-line diagram at their saved positions. Notes and placards retain edits and moved callouts as sharp, searchable drawing content.
  • Cleaner notes tables and placards. Columns remain aligned, no-wrap headings stay on one line, editor alignment carries into output, and white placard lettering remains readable.
  • Consistent SLD pages at any zoom. Plan-set SLD pages come from the current diagram model, preventing zoom-dependent line weights and including content even when the SLD canvas was not opened.
  • Cleaner title blocks. Company, project, sheet, code, revision, and jurisdiction details stay inside their frames. Long addresses wrap, oversized values shorten safely, and missing facts display a deliberate dash.
  • Sharper standalone SLD PDFs. Vector linework and real text keep electrical sheets clear when zoomed or printed. Equipment names, wrapped labels, edits, symbols, font styling, text size, and label halos more closely match the design.
  • Existing-feeder interconnections. Designers can configure a load-side feeder connection, enter feeder ampacity and protective-device ratings, and identify intervening loads. The tool calculates required ampacity and blocks export with details when information is missing or undersized.
  • Correct centre-fed panelboard checks. Centre-fed panels no longer receive an unsupported opposite-end bus allowance. Incomplete configurations are blocked with an explanation and available alternatives.
  • Three-phase microinverter trunks. Single-phase microinverters on three-phase service can use a listed three-phase trunk cable. Branching uses balanced current, three conductors, and a three-pole breaker, with warnings when units cannot be balanced.
  • Supported high-voltage PV design. Commercial arrays above applicable high-voltage thresholds receive suitable conductor selection, code-specific notes, and blocking findings when a conductor is rated below the circuit’s cold-voltage maximum. Canadian designs use the correct threshold without unnecessary cable upsizing.
  • Broader path-by-path electrical validation. Ordinary conductor edits can be recalculated independently in three-phase, power-controlled, sum-of-breakers, transformer, MID, source-combiner, and other advanced designs when their own paths are complete.
  • Validation for edited transformer and DC paths. Transformer paths can use winding voltage and apparent power for sizing, while rerouted PV strings are checked against actual cold voltage and adjusted current. Ambiguous or unsupported arrangements remain clearly incomplete.
  • Utility-service compatibility while wiring. Designers can choose the project service from inverter wiring controls and see when an inverter cannot connect to it. The same service setting carries into the electrical drawing.
  • Every-module electrical drawings. Single-line diagrams can show each module and its associated microinverter or optimizer. Improved wire crossings and shapes make dense connections easier to follow.
  • Smarter automatic microinverter branching. Compatible protected branches can reuse capacity across arrays while retaining separate trunk cables. Grouping follows the physical array layout for more practical routing.
  • Consolidated compliance findings. Repeated instances of the same issue appear as one finding with an affected-location count. Show on drawing selects all affected components and centers the first.
  • Clearer backup and storage controls. Backup-load coverage appears beside the result it changes, storage topology and isolation devices are grouped together, and controller rows are less crowded. Interconnection conflicts point directly to the setting that must change.
  • More accurate production calculations. Estimates account for each panel’s sky access, combine losses correctly, avoid an extra transformer-loss stage, and calculate inverter self-consumption from total system size. Company-supplied soiling and non-shading settings are respected.
  • Clearer loss editor. The detailed loss-component calculator opens directly below the system-loss field with easier-to-scan labels and controls.
  • Facet inverter selections are preserved. Leaving panel placement no longer erases or replaces a facet’s inverter, including equipment that is no longer listed in current catalog options.
  • Safer multi-tree editing. Changing shared tree type, shape, or winter foliage no longer resets each selected tree to the first tree’s dimensions.
  • More capable large-scene view. Expanded designs use a dedicated responsive layout with improved interaction and easier access to single-line diagram settings.
  • Pericles handles richer designs. The design assistant accepts larger briefs containing wiring, storage topology, catalog selections, findings, and plan-set settings. It also provides more reliable guidance for circuit runs, sizing modes, shared raceways, presets, and voltage-drop findings.
  • Clearer Design Assistant conversations. Long commands, values, status chips, cards, and actions wrap within the assistant pane instead of overflowing.
