Powerlily Weekly Update
This week brings a customizable leads pipeline, company-wide panel setback presets, and several improvements to website lead capture, plansets, drone mapping, and the 3D design tool.
Leads pipeline board
Leads now have their own customizable pipeline. Create the stages that match your sales process, then drag and drop leads between them to see where everything stands at a glance.
Website lead capture
Powerlily's website lead capture has been expanded. A single script can capture leads directly from your website, with improved attribution, duplicate detection, spam controls, and support for richer form fields.
Company-wide panel setback presets
You can now define your standard fire setback rules at the company level, including different setback variants. These presets carry directly into the 3D design tool, making it faster to apply consistent design standards across your team.
Obstruction rotation controls
Chimneys, vents, HVAC units, and other obstructions can now be rotated directly in the 3D design tool, giving you more control when matching real roof conditions.
Planset improvements
Plansets now include parcel IDs. Request property boundaries by pressing "b" in the design tool. You can also upload your own pages and reorder them alongside Powerlily-generated pages before creating the final PDF.
Spotlight: improved drone video mapping
We've made a number of improvements to Powerlily's drone video reconstruction pipeline.
Models are steadier and stay level more reliably, while terrain matching is now more forgiving of small gaps in the reconstructed surface. Good flights are less likely to be rejected, and retries produce usable models more consistently.
SRT sidecar files are also preserved throughout the upload process, and failed reconstructions now retain more complete diagnostics so we can identify problems and retry processing when necessary.
Try it on your next quote
For the best results:
- Fly a smooth 30–90 second orbit around the property at a steady height and speed.
- Make sure your drone is recording an SRT sidecar file alongside the video.
- Open the quote in Powerlily and go to Documents.
- Upload the video and its SRT file together.
Powerlily will use the footage and flight data to build a stable, level 3D reconstruction that can be brought directly into your design workflow.
Fixes and improvements
- Quotes: Creating new quotes is more reliable, with addresses remaining correctly assigned.
- Drone reconstruction: Processing, retries, terrain matching, and failure diagnostics have all been improved.
- Panel setbacks: Setback visuals and selection now behave more consistently across design views.
- 3D design tool: General navigation and editing performance have been improved.
More next week.
