Build A Full Website With Pages and Apex Domain Support

Pro companies can now build and publish complete websites around the information already in Powerlily. Create custom pages, feature systems and production data, collect leads, connect a primary domain such as solarco.com, and use Pericles to help design pages using your real public content.

Electrical design work is also easier to review and explain. The new SLD path workspace traces the full system, shows how key ratings were calculated, and gives Pericles the figures and findings for a selected section. Teams can also save roof sunlight heatmaps for use in proposals and PDFs.

Pericles can now deliver scheduled daily briefs, remain open as you move through Powerlily, and guide company setup. Updates coming to the mobile app will also make sign-in and continued access more reliable for companies using custom or apex domains.

Powerlily

  • Build and publish complete website pages: Pro companies can create pages from blank or starter layouts, visually arrange native sections, preview drafts, publish or unpublish pages, duplicate them, and restore earlier published revisions. Public visitors only see the published version.
  • Use your primary domain: Connect an apex domain such as solarco.com instead of being limited to a Powerlily address or a subdomain. Clearer DNS guidance, verification, secure access, and safer tenant authentication support the connected hostname.
  • Publish live Powerlily content in designed pages: Build sections from team profiles, products, packages, portfolio totals, system maps, system spotlights, production history, and live public production snapshots. Hosted forms can collect enquiries within the page while preserving attribution.
  • Import or replace an existing website: Upload a site export or saved HTML page and turn its content into editable, unpublished Powerlily drafts. Companies planning a full replacement can scan existing addresses, prepare replacement pages, map changed URLs, and enable redirects after moving the domain.
  • Preserve imported addresses: Imports retain available source paths where possible and avoid unnecessary redirects when a page already uses the same address. Content-only imports remain separate from the full website-replacement workflow.
  • Add video to Pages: Upload common video formats to a reusable library, add dedicated video blocks, or use valid external video links. Powerlily prepares uploads for browser playback, creates poster images, supports recoverable retries, and provides video-and-text and testimonial layouts.
  • Use video backgrounds and entrance effects: Processed clips of up to 30 seconds can become responsive section backgrounds with positioning and overlay controls. Page content can also use fades, slides, zooms, flips, wipes, staggered movement, and other entrance effects.
  • Design with your real content: Pericles can review eligible published articles, products, packages, systems, pages, topics, and collections before suggesting or building page sections. New pages can follow the composition, spacing, and image treatment of your existing site without simply copying it.
  • Research approved references while designing: Give Pericles an external page to reference, approve a focused web search, and continue the same page-editing conversation with the current unsaved brief and tools intact. No search runs without approval.
  • More page layout choices: New compact editorial, split-image, and installation-focused openings provide more varied starting points. Page authors and Pericles can also search a larger image library by subject, description, tag, related term, or partial match.
  • Reuse custom sections: Save a configured page component as a named section, browse your company library, reuse it in other designs, and remove sections that are no longer needed.
  • Control publication history and renamed links: Each publication records a read-only revision with its publisher and date. Earlier versions can be restored, and changing a published page address redirects the former address to the current page.
  • Configure page search and presentation settings: Set search and sharing titles, descriptions, social images, and canonical addresses for each page. Pages can be excluded from indexing or published without the standard header and footer for campaign layouts.
  • Choose a custom homepage: Make any published custom page the company homepage. Settings clearly identify the current choice, use the live published title, and explain when visitors are temporarily seeing the landing page because a saved selection is unavailable.
  • Manage website menus in one place: Organize ordered navigation and footer links to Powerlily pages or supported external destinations. Compact rows identify each link type, expand automatically when attention is needed, and help users reach invalid fields directly.
  • Manage public business details: Maintain website-facing company information, opening hours, local business profile details, and search-verification settings from the Pages workspace.
  • Check website launch readiness: Pro administrators can run a health report covering published pages, links, sitemap access, search readiness, and recommended manual launch checks.
  • Improved search discovery: Company websites now publish scalable tenant-specific sitemaps and crawler guidance, respect each page’s indexing choice, and keep private application areas out of search results.
  • Create public team profiles: Publish ordered profiles with a name, role, biography, public contact details, and photo. Profiles can represent founders, contractors, or other people without requiring a Powerlily account or exposing private staff details.
  • Safer website previews: Settings managers can preview the homepage or a published page as a visitor without gaining access to client sessions, staff routes, unpublished drafts, or write actions. Draft previews now clearly distinguish private drafts from updates to published pages.
  • More reliable website presentation: Dropdown menus stay within narrow previews, feature sections retain their intended spacing, and feature cards use clearer theme-aware surfaces and borders. The page inspector also updates more smoothly as elements are selected.
  • Scheduled Pericles daily briefs: Choose days, times, and delivery through the Powerlily inbox, push notifications, or email. Briefs can also run on demand and remain organized in their own conversation with unread status and follow-up actions.
  • Persistent Pericles workspace: Pericles now stays in a dedicated side column while you navigate, preserving conversations and streaming replies. It adopts the current record’s context and can open from the sidebar, page prompts, or the Ctrl/Command-J shortcut.
  • Suggested Pericles replies: Contextual reply chips beneath answers let users continue regular and setup conversations without composing every response from scratch.
  • Help without leaving your work: Companies without Pro assistant access can open Help in the same side column. Setup guidance and product updates are also available there without leaving the current workspace.
  • Guided company setup: Administrators on every plan can complete setup through a conversational workspace with a readiness rail. Pericles can propose approval cards to import products, update the company profile, apply a theme, and finish setup when requirements are met.
  • Interactive walkthroughs: Audience-aware guides can walk team members through relevant workflows, retain progress, and include design-tool guidance. “Show me” actions in help and What’s New can launch the corresponding guide in context.
  • Paired light and dark appearances: Companies can configure separate palettes for light and dark modes. Users can inherit company settings or keep a personal appearance, while proposals can copy or customize the company’s paired appearance.
  • Safer appearance changes: If another session has changed the same appearance, Powerlily asks the user to reload rather than silently overwriting newer work. Restoring a previous company theme also restores both appearance palettes.
  • Consistent public branding: Signed-out visitors now see the company’s configured branding on public updates, privacy, and terms pages, including automatic dark-mode support. New proposals also preserve the configured navigation hover color.
  • Five expert-design credits with new subscriptions: Companies newly subscribing to Go, Light, Standard, or Pro receive five one-time expert-design credits.
  • Configurable readiness checklists: Administrators can create reusable checklists, revise draft requirements, publish versions, and attach enabled rules to workflow stages or scheduling work types. Published history is retained for review.
  • Prepare and verify quote checklists: Teams can save preparation separately from approval, verify or revoke verification, and reuse a valid review across matching rules. Quote summaries show whether work needs preparation, awaits verification, or is verified.
  • Guard project and schedule transitions: Required checklist verification is enforced when work moves into governed stages or scheduling states, including bulk schedule actions. Users only see transitions currently allowed.
  • Edit document images: Open an image from the document inspector, make changes in a responsive editing workspace, and save the result as a new document.
  • Improved document uploads and previews: Secure direct uploads improve larger-file handling across supported web and mobile workflows. AVIF and iPhone photo formats receive browser-friendly previews while preserving the original file for download.
  • Saved roof sunlight heatmaps: Each saved design can retain a two-dimensional roof heatmap and color key. Teams can place it in quote documents, designed templates, PDF templates, and supported mobile quote views.
  • Search and duplicate utility rate plans: Find utilities by name or description and sort alphabetically, by recent updates, or by proposal usage. Complete rate and time-of-use configurations can be duplicated as independent starting points.
  • More reliable lead boards: Columns remain expanded through live refreshes after selecting Show more. Tagged leads can also move between stages successfully while retaining their badges.
  • Correct system layouts and contacts: Installed-system pages no longer borrow a 3D design from a proposal that merely showcased the system. System automations now resolve homeowner and staff details from contacts linked to the actual installation.
  • Improved proposal resources: Articles and other resources appear in a responsive horizontal card rail rather than a long stack. Excerpts preserve spacing between headings, paragraphs, and lists.
  • Stable proposal system cards: Closing the systems-section editor restores the complete system-card grid, including links and performance figures.
  • Additional SLD proposal ratings: Proposal SLD settings can capture an approved dual-lug meter base rating and incoming supply-conductor ampacity separately from building-main and PV-fuse ratings.
  • Faster, cleaner previews: Closed email and proposal preview dialogs wait until opened before loading, refresh when visible, and cancel pending work when closed. Proposal document overlays also use consistently sized and centered controls.
  • Streamlined desktop navigation: The full-height sidebar brings company identity, search, inbox counts, creation actions, workflows, Pericles or Help, and account controls together. Expansion, ordering, and visibility preferences are saved, and long lists gain edge fades and a draggable scrollbar.
  • Clear client-view messages: Staff previewing as a client now see why an edit was blocked, including attempts from an older tab or within Design Options.
  • More dependable connected domains: DNS verification now recognizes valid verification records more reliably. Embedded checkout also registers the active company hostname before collecting payment and falls back safely when a domain is not ready.
  • Mobile sign-in links resist email scanners: Automated link scanning and ordinary browser openings no longer silently consume one-time mobile sign-in tokens. Users receive an explicit browser confirmation path instead.
  • Image-heavy pages protect everyday work: Photos and thumbnails use a separate request allowance, reducing the chance that image loading interferes with saving filters, moving leads, or loading workflows.
  • Safer retired automations: An automation using a retired trigger cannot be duplicated, manually run, or used for segment enrollment until an administrator selects a current trigger.
  • Clearer payment setup outages: If connected payment or payout setup is temporarily unavailable, customers now see a clear service message rather than an error they cannot resolve.

3D design tool

  • Trace the complete SLD path: Review utility, service, interconnection, controllers, solar sources, and storage in one ordered workspace. Each section combines key figures, applicable limits, findings, settings, and navigation back to the corresponding equipment.
  • Audit electrical sizing: Breaker, fuse, disconnect, and conductor figures now show their calculation chain, including source current, continuous-load factors, code rules, correction factors, minimum sizes, standard-size rounding, and manual selections.
  • Ask Pericles about a selected SLD section: Pericles can receive the section’s actual figures, their published, measured, estimated, code, or user-set basis, applicable limits, sizing steps, and unresolved findings for focused review.
  • Start with a manual live SLD: Engineers can choose manual authoring instead of automatic generation. The draft binds the design’s electrical sources while leaving the downstream arrangement open for live equipment placement, connection, evaluation, and saving.
  • Model 80% and 100%-continuous equipment: Breakers, disconnects, service protection, and related devices can carry explicit continuous-duty, frame, and protection ratings. Sizing, labels, controls, and findings use these distinctions instead of a blanket assumption.
  • Model CEC dual-lug meter bases: Canadian designs can use an approved dual-lug meter base for a supply-side connection. Enter its nameplate rating and incoming-conductor ampacity, then receive separate checks for PV protection, combined source current, and continuous export capacity.
  • Configure generation services more precisely: A dedicated service with one array feeder can omit the site collector and feed the generation disconnect directly. Multi-feeder designs retain the collector and explain why it is required.
  • Add a utility-side splitter: Place an optional splitter between shared service equipment and the CT cabinet, record its lug rating, and validate that rating against service protection. Undersized ratings receive a suggested correction.
  • Configure multi-building arrangements with Pericles: The assistant can understand ordered structures, identify the building containing service equipment, and assign inverter or microinverter arrays to individual structures.
  • Automatically rebuild microinverter branches: Repack all microinverters onto fresh branches for the current service, optionally applying one breaker rating across rebuilt branches. The operation refreshes validation and can be undone.
  • Insert AC disconnects into existing circuits: Select an eligible wire, configure a disconnect, and add the rated device with both connections in one undoable action. Defaults come from the connected circuit or neighboring equipment.
  • Review source current against capacity: An expandable source-flow display summarizes solar current, AC-battery current, fixed contributions, and the interconnection or controller limit they land against.
  • Save a roof heatmap with the quote: The design tool creates a two-dimensional annual-irradiance capture with a compass and color legend. It waits for current data when needed and restores the designer’s previous display mode afterward.
  • Heatmaps finish reliably: Designs can save once production results are current while the roof heatmap completes afterward. Only a compatible heatmap from the saved design revision is attached.
  • Location-based electrical defaults: New and legacy designs initialize Canadian addresses with CEC and US addresses with NEC while preserving saved choices. Related wiring defaults remain synchronized across SLD and planset work.
  • Updated raceway and cable defaults: New configurations begin with Schedule 40 PVC raceway. CEC configurations select TECK90 AC field wiring unless the designer already chose another cable.
  • Regenerate an SLD safely: Start over with a freshly generated diagram from the canvas menu, electrical checks, or empty-sheet recovery. Electrical settings remain, and undo restores the previous diagram and drawing edits.
  • Keep custom layouts stable: Moved equipment, nested groups, rewired connections, and manually routed wires stay in place through model refreshes, container changes, and repeated exports. Exporting no longer disturbs the live drawing.
  • Grounding is represented explicitly: Generated diagrams include a grounding electrode system and grounding circuit connected to the appropriate service equipment. Grounding conductors land on equipment enclosures rather than live power terminals.
  • Direct links to missing catalog details: Findings for panels, inverters, batteries, controllers, ports, and other equipment identify the affected record and exact field that needs attention. Users can open the relevant edit form instead of searching through SLD settings.
  • Clearer hybrid charging estimates: When a published maximum AC charging current is unavailable, checks disclose the estimated value and its basis, identify the field needed for confirmation, and distinguish estimated sizing from published ratings.
  • Preserve unfinished manual wiring: Conductors drawn before a complete source-to-service path exists retain their material, routing, and other choices as pending records rather than disappearing.
  • Improved grouped editing: Clicks and drags target the visible equipment or caption instead of unexpectedly selecting its containing group. Context-menu operations also account for nested content.
  • Reset individual wire routes: Remove manual waypoints and restore automatic routing for a selected wire through its context menu.
  • Visualize wire direction: Toggle animated flow indicators on diagram wires to make source-to-load direction easier to understand. The display remains reliable as the live diagram changes and does not alter the saved electrical model.
  • Add supplemental equipment labels: Place smaller annotations above or below primary equipment names without changing the main label. These annotations retain their wrapping and styling in exported sheets.
  • Correct detached-building disconnects: Applicable multi-building designs now show the unfused disconnect where a feeder leaves the detached building and the fused PV disconnect at the service, with separate labels, locations, and controls.
  • Correct mixed PV and storage bus checks: When PV lands on the supply side and storage backfeeds the panel, PV stays out of the panel bus calculation while storage is still checked against the available allowance.
  • Correct controller placement behind service switches: Whole-home controllers and integrated MIDs behind upstream service disconnects now receive the proper feeder, bonding, and grounding arrangement without being assigned the service-entrance rating incorrectly.
  • SLD settings preserve Inspector values: Saving the settings rail no longer erases device duty ratings, breaker frames, service-device ratings, or other values edited through the Inspector or design commands.
  • Open designs with unavailable microinverter data: Saved microinverter scenes remain accessible when catalog information was not loaded or the original product was removed. Checks safely skip unavailable specifications instead of failing the scene.
  • Safer breaker rating validation: Zero, negative, nonnumeric, and otherwise invalid frame ratings show a clear message and restore the previous value without changing the design. Ratings can also be cleared when unknown.
  • Camera controls recover from blocked edit modes: If stringing or microinverter branching cannot start, the design view immediately restores normal camera rotation and controls.
  • Clearer continuous-duty controls: Labels identify the specific device affected, including another fused switch along the protected run. Typed 80% and 100% values are normalized before validation and saving.
  • Correct conductor protection past combining equipment: Validation stops tracing a branch breaker once conductors reach panels, combiners, splitters, critical-load panels, or MIDs where multiple sources combine.
  • Tighter controller capacity checks: Integrated controller current is compared with the more restrictive of its continuous-current limit and adjusted busbar rating.
  • More accurate supply-side checks: Calculations distinguish disconnect frame size from fuse or trip rating, represent fused supply-side disconnects correctly, and apply jurisdiction-specific source-current rules. Warnings also clarify that a 100%-rated switch does not reduce required conductor ampacity.
  • Respect declared service paths: Electrical-network generation recognizes paths through supply taps and separate service disconnects before adding fallback wiring, preventing checks from bypassing equipment placed by the designer.
  • More accurate shared microinverter mapping: Generated rows use their declared circuits, preventing branches from being associated with the wrong row when equipment is shared.
  • Cleaner exports: Exported sheets honor hidden borders and measure supplemental labels at their correct font size for closer agreement with the on-screen drawing.
  • Safer grounding-terminal choices: The connected-equipment picker no longer offers ordinary electrical equipment from grounding-only terminals.
  • Responsive SLD controls: Status counts remain readable in narrow workspaces, source-flow tables remain clear across themes, and sidebar fields and panels better follow company colors.
  • Accurate expand and collapse controls: The settings rail follows sections visible in the active tab or overlay, updates as sections change, and hides the control when there is nothing to fold.

Powerlily mobile app

  • Reliable access with connected domains: Coming to the app, authenticated requests will use each company’s stable Powerlily hostname rather than its public website domain. Existing sessions will migrate automatically, helping users stay connected when a company adopts or changes a custom or apex domain.
  • More reliable email sign-in: Coming to the app, powerlily.io magic links will open the sign-in callback correctly even when the app is not already running. Older emailed authentication paths will remain compatible.
